Present Continuous and Present Simple tense - action and nonaction verbs

Present Continuous and Present Simple tense - action and nonaction verbs

We use Present Continuous for actions that аrе happening now- at the moment of speaking- or actions that have started but have not finished. That is why we use action verbs to describe the process of doing something.

She is working at the moment.
My mom is cooking dinner.
We are having dinner now.
They are playing video games.
I am reading a magazine.

But there are also groups of non-action verbs – they describe a state, condition, or feeling. These verbs don’t use the Present Continuous form even when we talk about the present. We use them in the Present Simple tense.
