Минало перфектно продължително
време се използва за изразяване на действие започнало в миналото и извършвано до друг момент в миналото.
Минало перфектно продължително
време набляга на продължителността на действието или времетраенето на
действието в миналото.
The present perfect continuous tense is used to talk about an action that started in the past and has continued up to another point in the past.
The pаst perfect continuous usually emphasizes
duration, or the amount of time that an action has been taking place.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense is used to express a past action that started in the past (a long action) and continued up to another action in the past (a short action).

The Past Perfect Continuous tense is formed with the auxiliary verb have in past tense had
+ past participle
of verb be (been) + present
participle of the main verb (verb + ing).
had + been + (verb+ing)
Examples:
✦The temperature had been decreasing, because
the road was very icy yesterday.
✦She had been studying for three hours,
before I told her that the test was postponed. (using the time
expression for, we emphasize the duration)
✦While I had been working on my project, my
brother had been listening to music and my mother had been preparing
the dinner, somebody had entered the garage and had stolen our
car.
(by using while we show parallel actions
happening in the same time)

Examples:

✦She hadn’t been studying before I phoned her.
Въпросителните изречения в минало перфектно продължително време се образуват с инверсия
на глагола had и подлога + миналото причастие на глагола be (been) + сегашното
причастие на главния глагол (verb+ing)
Questions are formed by inversing, switching the positions of the verb had and pronoun + past participle of verb be (been) + present participle of main verb (verb +ing).
Positive question: had + subject+ been + (verb+ing)
Negative question: hadn’t + subject + been +
(verb+ing)
Examples:
✦Had I been living in London till I moved to France?
✦Had she been studying for three hours before I called
her?
Yes, I had. /No, I hadn’t.
Yes, she had. / No, she hadn’t.
При образуване на въпрос с въпросителните думи where,
when, why, what, how, how long
изречението започва с въпросителната дума + спомагателния глагол had +
подлога + миналото причастие на глагола be + сегашното причастие на главния глагол.
Examples:

✦What had she been studying when I phoned her?
Въпросите към подлога се
образуват без инверсия и с формата
had.
